Located in what is a landmark building of Wivenhoe, formally the Park Hotel on the corner of Belle Vue Road and the High Street. This stunning and statuesque building which sits perfectly in the middle of the Town, has been designed to create a stylish and comfortable environment for staff and clients. In a move to create and embrace an ambiance of work and home style combined, we wanted our office to be welcoming and relaxed for customers and professional yet enjoyable for staff. When a customer recently commented that “I could live here”, we knew we had achieved our aim. The staff at our Wivenhoe Branch are all local and know the area through and through, they have children at local schools and friends and family living in the Town and the neighbouring villages. Their experience in property over the years means that we have a wealth of industry knowledge, teamed with a genuine care and warmth for the local community that they live and work in. Our aim is to passionately dedicate our time and experience into making the process of buying and selling not only a seamless process but an enjoyable journey. We want our office to become a part of the Town, a place where you can just pop in for a coffee and have a chat and not feel the pressure of a sales person. We are here to offer honest, local and genuine advice and assist our clients with a calm and professional approach.

Meet the Wivenhoe Team

The son of a property developer and Master Builder, Alan grew up with an early interest and appetite to understand property and the people associated with all aspects of buying and selling. He knew at a young age, the importance of finding the right home for the right person. Starting his career as a trainee, Alan has organically grown his experience culminating in him now owning a broad range of skills combined with a strong work ethic. Early in his career Alan’s potential was recognised and he was quickly nurtured to a position of management where he flourished. Alan would be the first person to say that he prides himself on honestly and integrity and that being professional comes before anything else. He lives locally with his wife and 3 children and the family dog and having spent many years living in Great Bentley, Alan fell in love with the area and all of the surrounding villages. For the last 10 years or so, Alan has been valuing and selling properties specifically in this geographical area and his professionalism and calm approach to being successful has won him many accolades within the industry. Subsequently, Alan latterly found himself running an estate agents in Wivenhoe for a large organisation, whilst the location was great, he wanted something that would provide a rewarding work/life balance, hence Alan’s recent move to run and manage Michaels of Wivenhoe. “The most important thing for me in this role, is building and maintaining healthy relationships that are built on the foundations of trust.”

Sarah was born and raised in Wivenhoe and after leaving the village at 17, she then returned years later to raise her own family here. She has two older children at University and a younger son at the local school. Sarah has been in the industry for over 20 years and has worked in a huge variety of roles, from managing single offices to assisting in overseeing entire regions for one of the largest independent estate agent groups. There is no aspect of the job or selling/buying/letting process that Sarah has not dealt with. She is employed solely to provide our clients with updates and advice on the marketing of their home which allows her to impart her years of knowledge and expertise and guide our clients through the process. Most importantly, her advice is always impartial and honest. “Having moved many times myself (within Wivenhoe), I know that during this time you need to feel that when you speak to your estate agent, that you are the single most important client on the phone and not just one of many”. Our customers are the parents, neighbours, sisters, brothers and friends of a new client and Sarah’s work ethic is passionately based on making sure that every client receives an unparalleled service.

Born locally and having family living in Wivenhoe, means that Carla’s knowledge of the area and local market is unrivalled. She herself attended the local schools and her young daughter currently enjoys the University Nursery whilst Carla is busy at work. Carla brings to Michaels a wealth of sales and marketing experience from within estate agency. Having worked for a large corporate company for some 12 years, Carla wanted to bring her expertise to a small independent organisation that enables her to really utilise her skills to the benefit of her clients. She is infectious by nature and her enthusiasm drives the best results – in all aspects Carla works over and above in her role. The personal approach to buying and selling is where Carla comes into her forte, her drive to be successful for her clients is relentless. She fully appreciates that moving home is one of the most exciting yet stressful things that people do. She feels privileged to support people through this process and applies her experience to ensure that her client’s interests are always protected and this is always her priority. “Matching people to property makes me happy, it’s all about everyone being happy with one outcome”.

Having come straight into the property industry from leaving college, Charlotte started her Estate Agency career in 2014 as a trainee negotiator and has worked her way up quickly to managerial roles. Having worked for corporate and independent agencies over the years her knowledge and passion for property still continues to grow. Living locally all her life as well as attending the local schools Charlotte has a wealth of knowledge for the local area and Prides herself on being able to tailor her approach to her clients needs with some of her buyers even inviting her back once completed to show their new improved homes. “It’s always rewarding to see that you helped clients on their journey and gives me a lot of job satisfaction, I have joined Michaels as I want to be able to give not only the best advice but also the best marketing available in the industry”.

Lee joined the Michael’s family back in May 2019, bringing with him abundance of enthusiasm to make sure our clients have the best possible experience. Having come from retail, he understands the needs of our clients and has a flare for putting them first and ensuring that their needs are met. Lee’s hardworking nature coupled with his determination to succeed have seen him only progress. Having lived locally his whole life, Lee’s roots are firmly planted in the local area, meaning he knows the town and villages well. Since joining us Lee has worked his way up to a senior role and takes extra pride in closely looking after clients and ensuring they are happy from to start to finish and giving nothing but honest, sincere advice.
